CoGenerate's CoGen Challenge to Advance Economic Opportunity — funded by a $700,000 grant from Ares Charitable Foundation — selected 10 organizations demonstrating what becomes possible when generations work together on community needs. Winners include organizations addressing economic opportunity, food insecurity, homelessness, and workforce development — each using an explicitly intergenerational model. Two of the 10 winners have since been selected for continued funding to scale their impact.
Key fact: 160 organizations applied; 10 won $20,000 each plus six months of professional coaching — with two already selected to continue at larger scale.
